Whether you send your horse to us to be broken in or pre-trained, our aim is to ensure that it leaves here in its best possible shape physically and mentally to maximise its full potential as a racehorse.

We take a patient, structured approach to breaking in your horse and ensure they are comfortable with every process before we move onto the next step

Our round pen is invaluable for teaching the basics of lunging and long reining before moving into the wider space of the school before long reining down country roads to ensure every horse is comfortable with traffic and other sights and sounds.  Likewise these facilities are excellent for teaching the first steps of ridden exercise before progressing up to the round and straight canter up the road where they can be taught to relax and use themselves properly on the gallop and learn to go upsides.  We also carry out plenty of stalls work to ensure that every horse is comfortable with this process before it heads into training.

From a pre-training point of view as well as having the school and Sarah’s expertise in horses carrying themselves in a correct and balanced manner from her eventing background, we also are surrounded by quiet roads with lots of hills to build muscle and basic fitness before progressing to our local gallops.
