Sarah particularly enjoys working hands-on with horses, giving them one-to-one attention and seeing them thrive into the best versions of themselves. While she is passionate about all areas of the industry her real passion is bloodstock sales and it was always a dream to have her own yard prepping and consigning bloodstock.
She also has a background in eventing and competes in her spare time, therefore horses benefit from her knowledge in schooling and flatwork to develop muscle and topline.
Sales Preparation
Sarah is able to use her extensive experience of having seen horses prepped for sale with leading consigners to offer an individual bespoke preparation for your bloodstock, ensuring they reach their sales date in the best possible physical condition. Horses will get a tailored work and feeding routine depending on their physical condition and temperament which will include a combination of walking and lunging exercise as well as learning the art of standing up and showing themselves well. All horses in the yard are fed on Bailey’s horse feed and top quality haylage to ensure they look their best.

Rehabilitation from injury/return to work
Sarah’s experience of having worked closely with in-house vets during her time at Johnston Racing means that she is well placed to oversee rehabilitation from any racing related injury or surgery. This may include horses on complete box rest, horse walker and light exercise to enable them to return to training. We are also very closely situated to Sunhill Racing where horses can be boxed up to use the Water treadmill which is a fantastic tool for rehab from any racing related injuries as well as helping to build muscle, stamina and top line.

Sarah can also use her eventing background to do long reining, lunging, pole or flatwork exercises to help horses learn to carry themselves, move better, jump better and develop more core strength and top line muscle. This means that they maintain a high level of fitness whilst taking a break from high intensity work on the gallops every day.
